Planning a wedding, even a small one, between the US and Norway is daunting. Yet from the very first email correspondence with Cole at Nordica, we knew we were in good hands. For our wedding, we knew we wanted to leverage the natural beauty of our surroundings as a backdrop for our photos, and all we can say is WOW! Our wedding last month at Juvet Landscape Hotel was nothing short of magical, and Cole's photographs captured all the big and small magical moments in his distinct storytelling style. From his ability to catch light for portraits at exactly the right place and time, to his instinct in framing the natural surroundings, and his knack for capturing candid moments of intimacy, we feel so fortunate that he was such an important part of the day. Beyond his talents as a photographer, he is easygoing, communicative, and professional leading up to and on the day of the wedding itself. Coming prepared with a few potential portrait locations in mind, he was able to adapt easily with the group, as our day-of timeline had to shift slightly. Cole quickly delivered a slideshow gallery within a few days of the wedding, and followed up with a full gallery a few weeks later. His reviews are well deserved, and the photos are a gift that we will treasure for years to come.

We couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our wedding. Both in our initial communications and on the day, Cole was personable and professional. He also has a great sense of humour that instantly put us at ease - no small feat considering we both don't usually enjoy being in front of the camera! Cole somehow seemed to be everywhere at once, capturing each moment exactly as it unfolded without ever feeling intrusive. The photos we have received are absolutely stunning - beautiful, genuine and full of emotion - and we will treasure them forever. We truly can't recommend him highly enough!

We are in love with our photos from Nordica who documented our wedding day in Italy a few weeks ago. The photos are so beautiful and capture the craziness and magic that we felt on the day. We will treasure these photographs always. We loved having Cole there with us, he was super chilled and made us feel completely relaxed. I cannot say enough good things about our time with Cole. We wanted to refresh our wedding photos for our 10 year anniversary. When we got in touch with Cole through the Nordica website, he was quick to reply and so helpful with all my questions. Once we had a plan in place he was great, suggesting vendors and people who could help us make our vision come to light! On the day of the photoshoot, I was so nervous because I am so awkward in front of a camera and so is my husband... we are not photogenic at all but Cole has this way of making you feel at ease straight away. He is so relaxed and chilled but his passion for photography just shines through when he is working and you can constantly see his creative wheels turning. For those of you who are awkward like us, he gives you tips on what to do and how to stand so he can get the best photo for you and he is a genius! We absolutely love our photos and how he managed to capture the vision we wanted.

We hired Nordica to photograph our elopement in the Italian Dolomites, and it was the best decision we ever made. In the early planning stages of our trip, Cole was responsive, helpful, and flexible. He suggested many locations that would fit the aesthetic, mood, and climate we had envisioned, and we settled on a couple of key locations. Our wedding day began early in the morning before sunrise, and lasted all the way through the evening. It was nonstop traveling around some of the most beautiful landscapes we had ever seen, going between those planned locations but stumbling constantly onto hidden gems along the way - such as castles, lakes, and abandoned cabins - where we'd always hop out of the car and grab some quick photos before returning on our way. Driving from location to location, we would have great conversations in the car as Cole continued to scour the view. You could see the gears in his head spinning as he eyed down the landscape, the trees, the mountains. When something special caught his eye he'd excitedly pull over to the side of the road, grab his camera, and run out of the car saying "Hold on, I'll be right back!" After a few minutes of surveying the site, he'd be back with a "Nah, no good, let's keep going," or a "This place rocks, the trees are perfect, let's go!" There was not a single moment where he tried to wrap up early, oversell us, or put in less than 110% effort. His passion for photography was palpable, and that energy carried us through the very long and rewarding day that never stopped delivering. When we received the photos a few weeks later, we were absolutely blown away. The moments throughout our journey were captured so vividly, it was far beyond our expectations. Aside from being an incredibly talented photographer, Cole is just a cool, relaxed guy, and he really made us feel like close friends the entire time we were together. I can't recommend Nordica enough! You'll get stunning photos and the adventure of a lifetime.
